3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

a. What are cookies?

To make our Website work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your computer or mobile device. A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

b. What are cookies used for?

Cookies and other tracking technologies (collectively, “Cookies”), allow a website or service to determine if it was previously visited by your computer or mobile device. Cookies are used to identify users and remember their actions, and for online behavioral advertising. Cookies provide information regarding how a website or service is being used, and help ensure future advertisements will appeal to the user’s interests.

c. Our use of cookies

Generally, we use Cookies to customize content and advertising, improve website functionality and performance, provide social media features, analyze traffic to the Website, and help protect our Website and users. We may use Cookies to collect information about your IP address, domain server, operating system, web browser, and internet service provider. We may also obtain demographic information, such as your gender and age range. Cookies may be used to collect information regarding your browsing history, your use of our Website and the sites of selected sponsors, and your responses to our emails, special promotions and newsletters. We may utilize Cookies to remember your previous data entries and selections (e.g., user name; content delivery preferences), to understand, improve and research products and services, to provide enhanced features, functionality and content, and for the marketing and advertising of our products and services and those of selected third parties.

We reserve the right to use both first and third party cookies. “First-Party Cookies” are Cookies that belong to us. “Third-Party Cookies” are Cookies that another party, through our Website, places on your computer or mobile device. Third-Party Cookies may be placed on your computer or mobile device by someone providing services to us. For example, we may utilize third-party technology services, such as Facebook and Aweber, for data management, marketing, analytics, features and functionality of our Website, and for other purposes. Third-Party Cookies may also be placed on your device by our business affiliates so that they can monitor use of our Website, measure the effectiveness of an advertising campaign, and advertise products and services to you on our Website and elsewhere on the Internet.

Information generated from the use of a Third-Party Cookie on our Website is generally controlled and accessible by the third party. We may also have access to some of the information. First-Party Cookie information is accessible and controlled by us.

d. How long will cookies stay on my device?

The length of time a Cookie will stay on your device depends on whether it is a "Persistent" or "Session" Cookie. A Session Cookie is removed from your device once you stop browsing. A Persistent Cookie stays on your device until it expires or is deleted.

For Third-Party Cookies, refer to the third party’s cookie notice. It may offer a means by which you can opt out of the use of the third party’s Cookies.
